Tor Browser
FreeHardened Firefox-based browser that routes traffic through the Tor network to resist tracking and censorship.
About Tor Browser
Tor Browser is the official browser of the Tor Project, a non-profit organisation. It is based on Firefox ESR and routes web traffic through the Tor network, a volunteer-run system of relays that hides your IP address from the sites you visit and hides the sites you visit from your local network.
The browser is configured to resist fingerprinting and tracking, isolates each site's data, and clears cookies and history when you close it. It also includes tools to bypass censorship, such as bridges. It is available for Windows, macOS, Linux and Android, according to the platforms we have an official download for.
Tor Browser suits journalists, activists, researchers and anyone who needs strong anonymity or access to blocked content. It is free and open source. Browsing is usually slower than with a normal browser because traffic passes through several relays, and some websites block or challenge Tor traffic. It does not protect you from your own actions, such as logging in to personal accounts or downloading and opening files outside the browser.
Do not install add-ons or resize the window in unusual ways, as these can make you easier to identify. Download only from the official site.
