Mimo
FreeA mobile coding course app for Python, JavaScript, HTML, CSS and SQL with short lessons and projects.
About Mimo
Mimo is a mobile app for learning to code through short, hands-on lessons. The Google Play listing says you can learn Python, JavaScript, HTML, CSS or SQL and build skills in software development.
Lessons are small enough to complete in a few minutes, and you write code directly on your phone. Courses are organised into paths, with projects to practise what you have learned. The app updates regularly, and its latest notes talk about improvements and new features.
It is free to download, with ads and in-app purchases listed on Google Play, and a paid subscription unlocks the full content. It suits beginners who want to start coding without a computer and busy learners who like short sessions. Typing code on a phone can be awkward, so serious learners will want to move to a laptop for larger projects. The free version is limited, so review what is included before you subscribe.
Good for first steps in code, but plan to practise on a computer. Review the free allowance before subscribing.
