Libby
FreeLibby lets you borrow ebooks, audiobooks and magazines from your public library with a library card.
About Libby
Libby is the reading app from OverDrive that connects to your local public library. With a valid library card you can borrow ebooks, audiobooks and magazines, place holds and read or listen on your phone or tablet.
Titles download for offline use and return themselves when the loan ends, so there are no late fees. You can add more than one library card and send ebooks to a Kindle where your library supports it. It was built by OverDrive as a simpler replacement for the older OverDrive app, and is the main way many libraries lend digital books. Your library determines how many copies exist, so some titles have waiting lists.
It suits anyone with access to a participating library who wants free reading and listening. The app is free, and your library pays for the catalogue, so wait times can apply for popular titles. Selection depends entirely on your library, and a card or account with the library is required.
Wait times depend on your library's copies, so add several cards if you can. Use the tag lists to find titles available now.
