YouTube Music
FreeYouTube Music is Google's music streaming app that blends official tracks with videos, live sets and covers.
About YouTube Music
YouTube Music is Google's music streaming app for Android and iOS. It combines official albums and singles with music videos, live performances and uploads from the wider YouTube catalogue, and it also hosts podcasts. You can build playlists, get personalised mixes and switch between audio and video versions of a song.
The Android app lists more than 5 billion downloads, which is partly because it is pre-installed on many devices, and the App Store shows over 1.5 million ratings. The app is free with ads and some limits, while a paid YouTube Music Premium plan removes ads and enables background play and downloads, according to Google's long-standing offering. Both store listings show in-app purchases.
It suits people who already use YouTube heavily and like having rare remixes and live recordings alongside the standard catalogue. You can listen without signing in, but an account is needed for saved libraries, playlists and personalised recommendations. Prices vary by country, so check the official site.
Handy if you want videos and live versions mixed in with the usual catalogue.
