About Among Us
Among Us is a social deduction game for four to fifteen players, played online or over local WiFi. Most players are crewmates preparing a spaceship for departure, while one or more hidden impostors try to sabotage the ship and eliminate the crew.
Rounds alternate between completing tasks around the map and meeting to discuss who seems suspicious, then voting someone off. Players can customise their character, choose maps and adjust rules in custom games, which keeps sessions varied. The latest iOS notes describe a new Ghost Crewmate role called the Influencer, which lets eliminated players send clues to the living.
The game is free on mobile with optional in-app purchases and ads, as the Google Play listing notes, while the PC version is sold separately on stores such as Steam. It suits groups of friends who enjoy bluffing and conversation, and it plays best when everyone is willing to talk. Public lobbies can be unpredictable, so private games with friends are usually the better experience.
